Upon completion of the internship, the students:
develop collaborative relationships with program faculty in teaching, supervision, and service to the profession and the public.
know instructional theory and methods relevant to counselor education.
understand ethical and legal considerations in counselor education
understand the major roles, responsibilities, and activities of counselor educators.
understand ethical, legal, and multicultural issues associated with counselor preparation training.
develop and demonstrate a personal philosophy of teaching and learning.
demonstrate course design, delivery, and evaluation methods appropriate to course objectives.
demonstrates the ability to assess the needs of counselors in training and develop techniques to help students develop into competent counselors.
