Experimental design as a method for organizing analysis procedures. Completely randomized, randomized block, factorial, nested, latin squares, split-plot and incomplete block designs. Response surface and covariance adjustment procedures. Stresses use of computer.

Prerequisites are being adjusted to:


* delete ST 302 (no longer taught)


* add either ST 312 or ST 372 (to allow ST minors into the course more easily)


* add a statistical computing prerequisite (ST 307)

Student Learning Outcomes

We have been slowly phasing in the new prerequisites for our 400-level ST courses (specifically the addition of ST 307) over the past two years to allow students outside the major to be able to take some upper-level ST courses to complete their minors. ST 307 has been required for new minors since Spring 2015, and we have been advertising this planned change for the past 3 years.
