Readmission

Any undergraduate student who does not enroll for any fall or spring term will need to apply for readmission to continue their degree program.

Students applying for readmission must be eligible to return to NC State and to any institutions attended during their break in enrollment. Readmission applications should be submitted prior to the start of enrollment for each term. Students should consult the Readmission website for application and enrollment dates.

A non-refundable application processing fee must accompany all applications.

Readmission for Students Eligible to Continue

Readmitted students who were eligible to continue at the time of leaving and who have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) less than 2.0 will be placed on Academic Warning and subject to approved continuation requirements. (See REG 02.05.01 Continuation of Undergraduate Enrollment.)

Appeals for Students Ineligible to Continue

Students on Academic Suspension or Progress Deficiency may appeal for readmission. Students will be directed to the appeal upon completing the readmission application.

Readmission and Appeal deadlines are published on the Student Services Center Website.

Former Undergraduates Seeking an Additional Degree

Students who have completed their undergraduate degrees and wish to pursue an additional degree must submit a readmission application and be approved by the department and college of the new program. Students should consult the Readmission website for more information.
