Regulatory Science in Agriculture (Minor)

Regulatory Science is a field critical to the advancement of responsible technologies for agriculture from concept, through research and development, to commercialization, and throughout a technology's life. The Undergraduate Minor in Regulatory Science in Agriculture is an interdisciplinary program bringing together science and policy. Students will learn the science, techniques and policies underpinning agriculture regulation as well as risk management, compliance, data assessment, and regulatory communications.

A minimum of 15 hours is required for the Regulatory Science in Agriculture minor, with 6 credits being required courses and a minimum of 9 credits from restricted elective courses. A minimum grade of ‘C-‘ or better is required in each course selected. No courses for the minor may be taken using the S/U option. 

To be eligible for this minor, students must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree at NC State University. No more than 6 credit hours counted towards this minor can be transfer credits from another university. No more than 9 credit hours may be used (double-counted) towards departmental major(s) requirements and requirements for this minor.
