Professional Writing (WRT)

WRT 111  Expository Writing  (3 credit hours)  

Emphasis on writing process including audience analysis, topic selection, thesis support and development, editing and revision. Upon completion, students should be able to prepare unified, coherent, well-developed essays using standard written English. AGI majors only. Prerequisite for WRT 114, Professional Writing, Research and Reporting.

Typically offered in Fall and Spring

WRT 114  Professional Writing, Research and Reporting  (3 credit hours)  

Emphasis placed on research, listening, critical thinking, analysis, interpretation and design used in oral and written presentations. Upon completion, students should be able to work individually and collaboratively to produce well-designed and professionally written and oral presentations. Restricted to AGI majors.

Prerequisite: WRT 111
